Can you get venerial warts even if your partner wears a condom?
A.
It is possible to get genital warts, also called Condylomata even if your partner wears a condom. A virus called Human Papillomavirus (HPV) causes growths on or around the genitals or anal area. The use of latex condoms during sex provides some protection and will lower your risk of getting HPV. However, HPV may be present on skin that is not covered by the condom. Therefore, body contact should be avoided while the warts are being treated.
