Our Hours
Emergency Service: 24 hours, 7 days a week through the Emergency Department.
Counselling and Follow-up Clinic: By appointment.
Who We See
  • Counselling services: sexual assault within last year.
  • Emergency services: Sexual Assault / partner abuse within last 2 weeks.
What We Do
  • Client will be seen within an hour.
  • Services provided to women, men and adolescents of recent sexual assault or partner abuse by specially trained, fully bilingual staff on a 24 hr, 7 day/week basis.
Physical Access
  • Emergency entrance wheelchair accessible.
  • Special accessible examination table and shower.
Languages
  • English.
  • French.
Other Information
  • Physical exam.
  • Collection and/or freezing of forensic evidence.
  • Provision of free antibiotics, Hepatitis B immunization, HIV post exposure prophylaxis.
  • Testing for sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Testing for pregnancy and provision of morning after pill.
  • Crisis counselling.
  • Information about justice system and the choice to report to police or not.
  • Short term counselling and follow-up.
  • Cultural and sign language interpretation.
