How effective are Emergency Contraceptive Pills (ECP) or "morning after pills"?

A Canadian study found ECP to be between 75% and 98% effective when taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex. Note that the treatment is most effective, the sooner it is started. No ECP, however can stop an existing pregnancy.
